Niagara Frontier historical file, 1915-1940.

File includes letters, copies of documents, and a newspaper article written by Swain, regarding the Castle at Old Fort Niagara, where the local chapter of the United States Daughters of 1812 placed a tablet in 1916. Also, a photograph of Peter A. Porter, who spoke to Lafayette High School students at Brock's Monument, 1917; a brief report by Swain, chairman of the Buffalo Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists, on the 1932 planting of an elm tree in Delaware Park, Buffalo, in memory of George Washington; and her note on plans to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the transfer of Fort Niagara to the Americans, 1940.
